Father's day
In the states, the first Fathers' Day celebration took place in 1908 in Fairmont in memory of men killed in a deadly mine explosion inspired by the first celebration of Mother's day two month before in Grafton a town distant of 24 kilometers.
And then, Mrs Sonora Dodd, who wanted to commemorate the memory of her father, a civil war veteran, who brought up his kids as a single parent, promoted widely this idea and the first June's Father's Day was celebrated on June 19, 1910 in Spokane.
