Mother's day
The first mother to be celebrated was Rhea, the mother of the gods in ancient Greece.
Then, in England around the 17th century, mothering'sunday was established. Servants working far from their homes would have the day off and were encouraged to return home and spend the day with their mothers.
Then, in the states, in 1907 Ana Jarvis began a campaign to establish a national Mother's Day and succeeded in the end.
Now quite everywhere in the world mothers are celebrated once a year.
